I like the idea of the storage drawers. I would love to purchase a plastic one to organize my rubber stamps. The only thing is, I don't have the space! I will figure something out because the drawers are very clever...

Cynthia,

Thanks for sharing the baseball card pocket idea. I may have to try this myself, since I'm now ac...ulating several of the smaller unmounted stamps.

I have mine in plastic boxes which are hinged approx 1" 1/2 deep and lay them flat one layer fits approx depending on size any where from 7 to 18 mounted stamps and place a label on end then keep them stacked in a book shelf. found the boxes in a Japanese store in Anaheim , CA As for my small set of o unmounted i put them in a set in the baseball card pockets and they are in a binder easy access and of course i have everything logged into another folder so i know what i have and where it is

Barbara,

That sounds like a great system! Keeping my stamps organized is a continual battle for me, especially now that my toddler is old enough to want to play with them too!

I have quite a few of the wood mounted rubber stamps. I have tried the plastic trays, where you stamp on the paper, and stack, but couldn't find enough trays for my stamps! So I have gone to a different system. I get the large clear storage boxes. I get the really big zipper closure bags bigger than the gallon, and place a piece of card board inside. I then put the wood stamps by subject in each zippered bag. I then put them in the large clear storage box(-kind of like you would organize an index box) I have 3 of these boxes and have them on shelves. I also have a notebook that has dividers animals, classical, cartoon, people, letters, words- etc. and add the image from my stamps to this book. I can then go and look up what I am looking for. I do include the information on the stamp, by the stamped image.

Leona,

As a scrapbooker, I can definitely relate to this problem. Our LoveToKnow Scrapbooking site has several articles on storing your 12x12 paper, including Scrapbook Paper Tote and Scrapbook Paper Trays. Personally, I store my paper sorted by color and manufacturer in the Cropper Hopper vertical storage system -- available at almost any Hobby Lobby.
