Glycerin is a liquid at room temperature. This article is confusing for not specifying 'glycerin soap' instead of glycerin.

Still leaves the question how to make glycerine soap.

All this article explains is the melt and pour process of already made glycerine soap or am I missing something?

Pure glycerine would melt at higher room temperatures if I remember correctly.

Karen,

That should work just fine as long as you follow the same melting instructions you used to create soap the first time.

John,

Although I've personally never heard of anyone doing this before, Utah Biodiesel Supply is selling a guide that claims to explain the process.

Kate,

I would imagine you're correct in assuming the wax wrap is the problem. Glycerin soap needs to be protected from prolonged exposure to the air in order to avoid sweating. The wax wrap is probably not forming a tight enough seal to protect your soap.

Michelle,

If you're a novice soapmaker in search of an easy to make product that's good for your skin, glycerin soap definitely a good choice.

Deb,

Typically, 3.5 ounces is a good standard weight for a bar of soap. However, bars that are hand cut will have natural variations.
