If you've followed the instructions for your project correctly, the sweater should fit your dog when you are done knitting. I have not heard any information about big dogs being less flexible than small dogs. However, you may wish to visit our sister site LoveToKnow Dogs to ask our resident dog expert for more information.

I'm making a dog sweater, but once the leg holes are picked up and knit, I don't see how my big dog's legs legs are going to be put in them without straining her ankles. Maybe big dogs are less flexible than small dogs?
