Audrey,

I would suggest listing your unwanted machines on eBay if you are unable to find a buyer in your local community.

Joann,

Generally, people who sell homemade lotions and soaps must purchase a liability policy to protect against lawsuits resulting from damages allegedly caused by the product. The Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild is one organization that allows members to purchase this insurance at a reasonable price. Teach Soap also has a useful guide to insurance for those who make bath and body products.

Good luck with your business!

I have 2 Embroidery machines for sell. They are in Great Shape. 1) a brother PE-150 with the book and cd's and 2 hoops large and small. 2) Emotion Explorations by Marie Osmond all cd's and books comes with one hoop and it has a dongle key. And I have more sewing machines that all work good. I have so many machines it time to get rid of some.

I was wondering what kind of requirements there are for selling homemade lotions in way of ingredient listings. How does one keep from being sued if someone buys a product and breaks out from it. Is there a disclaimer that can be attached to the product? or, is just lising the ingredients enough. Where would I go to get this information?
