A Few Stampin’ Up Ideas to Share with Friends

Often the best way to coax ideas to flow is by spending time with friends that are also creating projects. By talking about your ideas and watching what others are doing, you may be inspired to create your magnum opus. A stamping get-together may be just what you need.

Host A Workshop

Stampin’ Up has demonstrators that you can contact to host a workshop in your home. Invite your friends and spend an afternoon learning new techniques and viewing stamps that you may not have known about.

A great way to make your workshop unique is by having it as part of a tea. The theme could be stamping, and the décor and events should involve stamping in some way. This would also be a great idea for showers. Imagine a workshop that focuses on baby projects or where a bride to be learns how to make a special memory album.

Spending a day visiting with friends and seeing their projects will get your own creative juices flowing. Besides, it is fun!

A Stamping Bee

Remember the quilting bees that our great-grandmothers used to attend? Women spent hours quilting and talking. Have a Stampin’ Up bee and invite your friends to bring their projects to work on at your home. Spend the afternoon chatting and exchanging ideas. Serve refreshments and snacks to keep things flowing. You may find it becomes a monthly or even a weekly event!

Stamp with Your Kids

Watching small children throw their entire beings into creative pursuits is inspiring for even the most calloused creator. When you find yourself in need of ideas, invite your children for a few hours of uncontrolled creativity. Teach them how to rubber stamp with a brief demonstration. Provide all the materials they need, some cookies and a pitcher of Kool-Aid for a relaxing afternoon of memory making.

Stampin’ Up Online

Projects

Just Do It

You may be hesitant to make that first stamp or the first paper cut for fear of making a mistake. The best thing to do is to follow your vision and begin creating something. See where it takes you. The worst thing that can happen is that you don’t like the result and have to begin again.

Take these Stampin' Up ideas and use them as the seeds for your own ideas. Remember, art is about having a great time. It's not about creating perfection.
