Provo Craft
From LoveToKnow Crafts
Since 1969, Provo Craft has been supplying innovative craft tools and materials to crafting enthusiasts. From a small, single store in Provo, Utah, the company’s products have become known worldwide for their quality and variety.
About Provo Craft
From its humble beginnings 40 miles south of Salt Lake City, the company now supplies craft items to thousands of retailers from Alaska to Florida and in dozens of countries worldwide, including South Africa, Japan, multiple European nations, Ukraine, and the Cayman Islands.
The key behind this widespread success is the company’s dedication to quality items that take note of modern trends and cutting-edge technologies. In this way, the company creates consumer-driven products that make crafting easier and faster without sacrificing the quality of finished projects.
To keep up with fast-moving craft trends and popular items, more than 40 creative artists work both in-house in Utah as well as around the nation keeping track of what today’s crafters are interested in. Full-time designers then work to create the best products to make projects easy and fun for everyone.
Products
Provo Craft has more than 6,000 exclusive items as well as more than 20,000 items from smaller designers that it distributes to its retailers. Within that vast quantity of items is a wide range of craft supplies, from basic tools to decorative accents suitable for both novice and advanced crafters. The different types of products the company supplies include:
- Tools: Basic scissors, punches, tweezers, crimpers, and more help crafters create the best projects.
- Cutting tools: Die cut machines, blades, accessories, and templates sold under the well-known brands of Cricut, Cuttlebug, and Sizzix are perfect for scrapbooking or other decorative projects.
- Scrapbooking: Hundreds of the company’s products are devoted to today’s hottest way of preserving memories. Stamps, albums, paper, stickers, glitter, tassels, accents, and ribbon are just a few of the items available for avid scrapbookers.
- Knitting: Looms, totes, and how-to instructional guides will help knitters create cozy yet fashionable designs.
- Home décor: Dozens of items for décor projects are available, including frames, pre-cut wooden shapes, wind chimes, baskets, clocks, and seasonal items.
Finding Provo Craft Products
The company is a wholesale merchant and does not offer nationwide retail locations for individual crafters; the few locations that are available are confined to the west, mostly in Utah near the company's origins. However, their popular products are available at thousands of large and small craft stores, including:
- Robert’s Arts and Crafts
- Michaels Crafts
- Joann Crafts
- Rag Shop
- Hobby Lobby
Interested crafters can visit the company’s official website to find local merchants who carry Provo Craft supplies. Search options include by state, city, or zip code to make finding these quality items a snap. If no local options are available, crafters are encouraged to speak with their local retailers about carrying the company’s products.
Many online merchants also offer these high-quality craft items, often with substantial discounts. Before purchasing items from an online retailer, however, be sure to investigate them thoroughly to be sure the products are authentic.
Projects
With such a tremendous range of craft items available, there are an endless number of potential projects for crafters to indulge in. However, Provo Craft does offer numerous project ideas online complete with materials lists, alternative ideas, and free demonstration videos.
The company is also available to donate supplies and project ideas to approved charity events. Contact the company directly for additional details about such donations.

Comments
Pat Brown,
I don't believe they make additional hooks for that set. If it's the product I'm thinking of, I've never never seen them in stores and I can't find any information about it on the Provo Craft Web site. My only suggestion would be to see if someone is selling a partial kit on eBay --- sometimes you can find good deals from people who have given up a craft.

-- Contributed by: DanahindersI purchased a Provo Craft Crochet Tool Kit with hooks and handles from Joann's craft store. They do not carry additional hooks for this kit. Do you make additional hooks for this kit? If so, could you please tell me where I can purchase them. Thank You

Unfortunately, LoveToKnow Crafts does not actually sell supplies from ProvoCraft. If you're looking for materials to use with your Cricut machine, however, try searching for cartridges and accessory tools at Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, or Michaels Crafts. If you get QVC in your area, this station also sells Cricut items during scrapbooking and papercrafting days.
