Eye Catcher Paper Bag Snag

Supplies

  • Mini brown or white paper bag
  • Mini frame stamp
  • Scissors
  • Embossing powder and ink
  • Heating element made for embossing
  • Photo tape or vellum tape
  • Vellum (clear is best for this project)
  • Card stock
  • Pearlescent paint pen

Instructions

1. Stamp the mini frame stamp onto your paper bag, or another piece of paper the same color as the bag, using embossing ink and powder in gold, silver, or the color of your choice.

  • Poke a hole with scissors and cut around the inner edge to make frame.
  • If you used a piece of paper to make your frame, cut a corresponding hole in the paper bag. Use photo tape to attach the frame to the bag and a piece of vellum to the inside of the bag. Leave one side of the hole around the frame open to allow a piece of card stock to slide in and out behind the vellum.
  • Cut a piece of card stock that will fit into your slit. Slide the card into the frame and use a pealescent paint pen to write the recipient's name on the vellum.
  • Slide the card out and fill out with the details of the invitation. Slide the card into the frame and you'll be able to see the name on the vellum.

Ideas for Using this Craft

I've used this as a money bag for someone's birthday and just recently as an invitation for a stamping party. I named it "Eye Catcher Paper Bag Snag." Enjoy!!
